Marieb’s Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology is one of the best, most comprehensive textbooks I’ve read on the subject. There are others by Totora and Martini as well but Dr Marieb’s book is a veritable must-have for A&P students.

On the flipside though, the 7th edition weighs in at 1296 pages which, for some, can be quite long and wordy. So if you’re having trouble with understanding or answers, then look into a multimedia book by Dr James Ross.

    Here’s the website:

It covers the entire human anatomy and physiology subject with easy-to-understand notes and over 3000 illustrations. It’s an award-winning course for A&P students of all levels (high school, college and medical school).
