How do I find creativity/inspiration?
I’m an artist, and it’s started to get a bit stale. I can draw portraits that look just like a person, I know human anatomy pretty well, but it’s all lacking creativity.
How can I find creativity and start creating my own art.
Also, I’d love to get into painting, but again, I have this same creativity problem.
Seriously, I’m so desperate to find some type creativity that will inspire my art, but it seems like I’ll never find it.

Believe it or not just start glancing through magazines and sales papers. Sounds weird but what you will see is that there are so many new products out there for portraits that people normally over look. Ex. I seen a portrait of just a generic couple walking on the beach you only seen from their waist down and their name was drawn in the sand. So if your good at drawing people maybe you can start drawing couples in this setting and how nice to have it actually be them and it be customized with whatever they want in the sand. I get all types of inspirations from catalogs and magazines it’s endless. When all else fails go to you tube and see what people are drawing around the world 😀

Creativity and inspiration can be drawn from anything. Go for a walk, read a book, listen to music, look at other famous works, or just take a pencil and paper and DRAW. Draw whatever comes to mind. Let all of your ideas pour out, no matter how good or bad they are. Good luck! 🙂
all you have too do it add abstract yo your portraits little by little until you get the hang off it. then it will always be natural after that

Other than that, I listen to music that I think matches the theme of what I want to draw, or if I don’t know it at all, I’ll draw based on the emotions of the music. Other ways that help me: go offline, take a walk… or sleep (lol). Just let your mind wander, and don’t think too hard on things. Like writing (which I like doing), just free draw or sketch dump ideas.
